Hmm, I've just read about that flux and it sounds hella interesting!

Does anyone know how this is gonna work?

6 weeks of sales in the in-game store? Hmm, looks like I might grab a couple more mercenary slots.

I would assume it won't do anything if you put yourself to offline or do not disturb.

I'm not sure that I understand the "mutual friends list" thing.

Can someone break it down for the thick headed like me?

Didn't they promise monthly changes to PvP (in the form of Skill Balances) before? Are they going to stick to it this time? Or is this going to be an automated thing that doesn't actually react to what's going on, it just makes arbitrary changes.

Seems like if you have someone friended and they also have you friended, you can stalk each other.

Whoa! Sweet!
I guess I'll buy some mercs/char slots/storage panes then.
Good thing I haven't bought a lot in the in-game store yet.

Is there any detailed information on Flux? I could see it being status effects that phase in and out, affecting the usefulness of certain builds. For example:

"Soothing Aura: Adrenaline takes 25% longer to build."
"Ether Confusion: Spells deal 10% less damage."
"Eye of Darkness: Attacks have a 15% chance of doing half damage."

Different effects that make physicals weaker, or casters weaker, or defense in general weaker... might be interesting.

Conditions last 20% longer was one example someone gave me off what flux'll be.

I'd imagine there'll be others such as healing/adrenaline/damage debuffs/buffs and stuff.

It sounds like that if you have someone on your friends list and you are on their friends list, you will be able to see what map they are on and vice versa. If you aren't on their list, but they are on yours, you won't be able to see where they are. At least... that's my understanding of it.

Also... would the birthday tonics be INSTEAD of mini pets this year, or in addition to?

That post doesn't answer his question at all. Birthday presents != Minis. For all we know when you double click on a Birthday Gift this year out pops an Everlasting Kormir Tonic.

Sweet! They added stalker mode... *facepalm*

Not sure how I feel about the tonics instead of minis this year. (that's how the news sounded to me) The tonics I have just sit in storage since I have costumes that can be worn anywhere. I guess I will have to see what they actually look like before I go into total QQ mode about them. I guess it's only natural that I'm a little sad since I collect minis and was dying to see what would be added this year.

Thing is, he says Birthday presentS so how do we no we wont be getting 2 gifts for our 6th bday.

Tho in all seriousness, you are right, that link/quote still doesnt actually answer the question of "are we just getting the Tonic this year or are we getting both a tonic+mini?"
